this blog is pretty much pseudo dead in the past couple of weeks. (almost the whole summer to be exact) so yes, that means i've been busy, again and a lot... either that, or i've been reading too many design and art blog i forgot i have one. anyway, lots of things happened this summer, so i'm gonna sum it all up in one post, and i'm gonna do it fast.
summer 2008 was the summer when I...
. finished assassin's creed & gears of war on pc, and god of war & crisis core: final fantasy 7 on psp
. watched ironman on the cinema(pretty awesome movie, and definitely worth the 150 bucks)
. bought a new pair of vans (was looking for an asics onitsuka tiger but i can't find a single store selling in this country)
. got some new interesting gigs ;p
. studied illustrator
. listened to much of electronica music (as you can see on my blog posts)
summer is pretty much just ok this year, maybe because i got myself a day job ($$). anyway, i'm gonna be posting more so as not to keep everything stagnant in here, also gonna buy myself a wacom so i can draw more often. :D

i just read this interesting article about valve's epic game portal and how it portrayed a woman hanging upside down and how GlaDOS, the game's AI antagonist, planned all the events in portal so you will murder her. yes, that's very dark and confusing too.
but first I have a confession to make.
I am ashame to admit that i haven't played the best game of 2007... yet. although everything is pretty much spoiled by now, after doing lots of research about it and how it is connected to the half-life universe even way before the game was released, i am still very excited to play it (if time permits, which i am going to find) along with assassin's creed and the witcher by this summer (April to May in my country).
well, anyway here is the article. over at game-ism, where they analyzed GlaDOS and the closing song. everything in this article could be a just imagination or coincidence. either way, it is an interesting read if you have played and love the game.
and speaking of half-life, if you are still a bit confused about the very silent scientist "slash" hero prof. gordon freeman, the combines, the gman, headcrabs and all those half-life shit, this site should be very useful. also a very good read. half-life saga. enjoy.

Microsoft Expressions is launching here in cebu and with that they are doing a graffiti graphic design competition.
Microsoft Expression is Microsoft's version of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, although a brand new software it also has its unique features but i doubt it can kill Photoshop.

this is a totally cool micro site from a very unexpected source. universcale is a flash microsite of nikon japan, (yes, the camera) where we are able to view all entities, from the microworld to the universe, from a single perspective. By setting them up against a scale, we are able to compare and understand things which cannot be physically compared. a very educational and cool flash site.
